Legislative Issues

FCSSGA’s mission is to voice and advocate for the issues that matter to students. If you think you have an issue that matters to you and the students back home submit a proposal.

Deadline to Submit an Issue: August 19th, 2011

Below is a list of deadlines for submission of issues and packet release dates.

  • Friday, July 1st, 2011 : Potential Legislative Issues can begin being submitted.

  • Friday, August 19th, 2011: Deadline to submit a Potential Legislative Issue 

  • Friday, September 2nd, 2011: Potential Issues approved by Executive Board and posted online.
      Final Legislative Issues Packet! 

  • Friday, September 16th, 2011: All students will be sent the Preliminary Issues Packet and a sample ballot for the November Legislative Conference.

  • Friday, November 4th, 2011: November Legislative Conference! All Students will vote to see which issues will be included in the Preliminary Issues Packet.

  • Friday, December 2nd, 2011: The Official Statement of Position will be sent out to all Advisers and Presidents. It will also be available online.  Official Statement of Position
