Welcome Speaker: Dr. E. Ann McGee

E. Ann McGee was selected as President of Seminole State College of Florida (formerly Seminole Community College), located just north of Orlando (FL), in 1996.  Seminole State enrolls approximately 32,000 students annually in programs that range from adult basic education to career workforce majors to transfer studies, and will award over $80 million in financial aid this year.  SSC has recently received approval to offer 5 baccalaureate degrees which will complement the 14 bachelor's degrees currently offered at the Sanford/Lake Mary Campus by the University of Central Florida.    Read More...

Keynote Speaker: Isa Adney

Isa Adney started community college crying in the advising office wondering where her life was going to go. She ended her community college experience crying at graduation when she won the $110,000 Jack Kent Cooke scholarship. Isa is the first in her family to graduate with her Bachelors degree and will finish her Masters this May 2012. By May 2012 Isa will also have her first book published by NorLights Press called Community College Success: How to Finish with Friends, Scholarships, Internships, and the Career of Your Dreams. She writes the blog communitycollegesuccess.com and has been featured in USA Today College. She is also the Student Activities Coordinator for Seminole State College of Florida.
