Hello FCSSGA! I am currently a senior at Saint Petersburg College majoring in Paralegal Studies. My next step after graduation will be to attend law school and eventually practice in the area of intellectual property law. I began my journey with SGA as a conscious observer. I later became a senator and then held the position of Legislative Liaison on the Clearwater Campus. After careful consideration and planning I chose to fulfill my goal and run for the position of President of the Florida Junior Community College Student Government Association. This is the single most rewarding and humbling opportunities I have had. I am excited to accomplish our many goals together this year. Remember, we are one million and we have one voice, together our boundaries are limitless.

I just want to say first off how honored I am to have the opportunity to serve you as Vice President. I am originally from Boston, MA but I grew up here in Hernando County Florida. I enjoy meeting and talking to new people as often as I can. That is one thing that really brings me joy in life. I am looking forward to this new beginning with a new name and face that we are about to embark on and am glad to be setting sail on it with all of you. My hope for this year is to get to know as many of you as I can. By uniting together we can be heard and really accomplish something tangible this year.

Hello FCSSGA! I am currently a sophomore at St. Petersburg College majoring in Chemistry and Physics with hopes of minoring in Economics or Finance. I began my journey with Student Government as a Senator, where I learned first-hand the importance of advocating for the student perspective and the integral part we, as students, play in our colleges and communities. As my interest in SGA grew, so did my involvement, leading to me holding the positions of Parliamentarian, Treasurer, and my
current position, the Student Body President. I am both honored and excited to have the opportunity to serve you, the students of the Florida College System Student Government Association, as your StateSecretary.

Hello FCSSGA! I want to start off by saying it’s a privilege to be serving as your Jurisprudence. I was born in Miami, FL but raised in West Palm Beach. District Three Coordinator
Jonas Presendieu
Hillsboro Community College

Hello FCSSGA, I am honored to serve as your D3 Coordinator! I am currently going into my junior year at Hillsborough Community College as a pharmacy major. I have always felt that regardless of what your major is, if you have a passion to go out of your way to serve others then your value to your community will always be priceless. My passion started initially when I served as a senator on campus; when I experienced what I could offer to my peers as treasurer, my second year at HCC, I immediately knew I wanted to reach out and do more on the state level. It is a privilege to serve you and I look forward to working with everyone this year.

District Four Coordinator
Joshua Edwards
Pensacola State College

I was born in Terre Haute, IN. I later moved to Pensacola, FL where I attended three years of high school. After high school graduation, I decided to attend Pensacola State College, formerly known as Pensacola Junior College to start my Engineering degree. My goal is to be an Aerospace and Mechanical Engineer so I can build and design aircraft, spacecraft, robots, and satellites. Because education is important to me, I joined the Student Government Association to have a voice among the student body, and a chance to keep students informed on legislative issues that affect our education.

Elections Chair
Andrew Malyj
Saint Petersburg College- Clearwater
fcssgaelections2011@gmail.com
Hey FCSSGA students! I am from Clearwater, Florida but now live outside Clearwater in Largo which is all in Pinellas County. I am currently in my third year at Saint Petersburg College – Clearwater Campus majoring in Banking and Financial Services with a slight interest in politics as well. What I hope to achieve after graduating is to go into financial planning/advising and maybe one day run for city or county commission, maybe even a state representative. Volunteering has always been very dear to me, and I consider it like having a job. I wish to continue working with the many organizations I volunteer with and maybe one day serve as one of their officers. I began my involvement with SGA through the work I do with Relay For Life, I discovered our college has it own event and after many years of working with Relay For Life in high school, I just jumped aboard and began one of the most wonderful experiences of my life. There is nothing better than trying to make a difference in your community and other’s lives. This year, I am currently serving as the Secretary for our campus for the second year now. When I found out about these appointed positions, I decided to test my capabilities, test myself, push myself, set a goal for myself and run for one of these positions. After a lot of planning and debating, I decided to run for the position of Elections Chair. It is an honor and a pleasure to serve as your Elections Chair this year. This is an experience of a lifetime for me. I am so excited to see all the great things we will accomplish together.
